What is the purpose of the SSH Terminal on cPanel?

You can connect to your cPanel account via an SSH Terminal available on your Web interface.

The Terminal allows you to manage your web hosting via the command line. It can help you speed up certain tasks such as downloading remote files or even decompressing your files on your web space.

If you want to be able to connect to your cPanel space using SSH software such as Putty, you'll need to subscribe to a cPanel XL package. The other packages only offer access via the Terminal.

L'accès root est possible sur les formules VPS, sur les formules mutualisées cela n'est pas permis, toutefois votre besoin d'accès root n'est peut être pas justifié, si vous le souhaitez nous pouvons discuter d'alternatives ensemble, si la formule recherchée est de type mutualisée.
