Why restore your website under Plesk?

The restoration tool available in Plesk allows you to restore the data in your Web space to an earlier date. Among the data you can restore are:

• Restoring your domain name configuration.
• Restoring the email configuration and its content (the emails).
• Restoring the files and the SQL Server database.

In order to be able to restore this data, you must first have performed a backup. Restoring your website and your data only takes a few minutes. You can choose between a partial restoration (certain data only) or a complete restoration of your Web space.

How do you restore your website from Plesk?

11. Log in to your Plesk management interface.

22. Click on the "Backup Managers" tab located at the top right of your screen.

33. Click on the backup you want to restore on your Web space.

44. Configure the restoration of your Web space:

• What do you want to restore: You can restore the selected objects (the website, emails only or the domain name configuration) or all objects (the entire backup of your Web space)
• Object type to restore: You can choose between the site, the site and the database, emails only or the domain name configuration. The object type is only used if you have previously selected partial restoration of your data (selected objects)

Check the object you want to restore and click the "Select" button.

55. Continue configuring your restoration:

• Restore: Choose between "Configuration and content of selected objects" or "Configuration of selected objects only"
• Suspend the domain until the restoration is complete: Allows you to suspend your site while the restoration is being applied to your Web space.
• Receive an email notification

As soon as the configuration is complete, click the "Restore" button to start restoring your site under Plesk.
